This year, we are joining thousands of Canadians to participate in Hike for Hospice Palliative Care.
Hike for Hospice Palliative Care is a unique national fundraising event held across Canada that brings together organizations working collectively in hospice palliative care to raise funds and awareness in their community!
We believe that the Foothills Country Hospice is an excellent country setting for end of life care. It is filled with loving, caring staff and volunteers and we wish it had been available for our parents in their time of need.
Roxy, our little yellow Labrador, was the first dog, at four years of age, to being volunteering her hours in 2009. She still volunteers weekly and has provided many residents, staff and other volunteers comfort in this end of life care facility. Her contribution is one of many that makes this hospice such a caring positive environment.
To help both the hospice and support Roxy we (Paul, Irene & Jules), have formed the Roxy Roller Team and will be walking with her and her companion dog, Kelsey, on this 4Km walk May 7th, 2017. If you are interested in helping support us by either joining our team or by donating to our cause, we invite you to do so. 100% of the funds our team raises will go towards our local hospice palliative care program at the Foothills Country Hospice so they can continue to do their valuable work in our community! Your gift is tax-deductible and will benefit many families at a very trying time in their lives. Rather than donating to us individually please make a team donation to Roxy Rollers on Roxy's behalf. Thank you.
